The Spirit Realm

This Realm is said to be a place formed of the Will of sentience itself. The gods of the Alorn Races were formed of pure thought and reside in the Spirit Realm, exerting their power of creation and destruction particularly in areas where the two realms draw near to one another. These gods are countless, ranging from minor spirits which may be summoned and controlled, to the mightiest Divine, worshiped by nations.
The Spirit Realm is often described as having two halves, the Realm Above and the Realm Below. This division is generally a distinction between notions such as good/evil, law/chaos, life/death. Alorn believe that their souls return upon death to become one with the will of the spirit most identical to their own in life.
Magic drawing on the Spirit Realm involves using a magical flame to open a "crack" through which practitioners can commune or even summon these otherworldly creatures of will.
