She is one of seven Acquitors for the Edur. Letherii merchants who want to travel in Edur lands must be accompanied by an Acquitor. They are appointed for a 10 year period, and Letherii must bid on them. Seren received the highest bid of all the Acquitors, and serves Buruk the Pale.
