A storm is raging around the Crippled God's island, and a boat is trying to land on the shore, but cannot. The island seems to be protected by a barrier. Withal jumps on the Crippled God's tent, knocking it down and annoying the god inside. Withal and the Nachts rejoice as the barrier around the island is broken. The boat lands on shore, and everyone except the Crippled God gets on board. It is Mael who arrives on the boat. He heard Withal's prayers. Mael goes towards the tent to deliver a beating to the Crippled God.
